Attorney Katarina Jaksic Arthur joined the Phillips Ballenger team at the start of her legal career, right after graduating from law school and sitting for the Nevada Bar.
From day one, Kat has practiced exclusively in the areas of estate planning, trusts, and business planning — dedicating her work entirely to helping individuals, families, and business owners create thoughtful, well-structured plans designed to protect what matters most.
Kat’s practice includes Estate Planning, Business Formation + Planning, Trust Administration, and Premarital Agreements. She also works closely with clients on trust funding coordination and ongoing LLC + corporate maintenance, ensuring that plans are properly implemented and maintained over time — not simply signed and set aside.
Kat earned her J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV in May 2021, after transferring from the University of Oregon School of Law to be closer to family. From the outset of her legal education, she intentionally focused her academic training and professional experience in trust and estate law. While completing her degree, Kat worked as a law clerk and legal assistant at a Las Vegas estate planning firm, developing hands-on experience in drafting, client counseling, and trust administration.
She also served as a judicial extern to Probate Commissioner Wesley Yamashita in the Eighth Judicial District Court, gaining valuable insight into Nevada probate and trust proceedings — experience that continues to inform her thoughtful, strategic approach to planning for her clients today.
Born in Serbia and raised in Las Vegas, Kat appreciates the sunshine and vibrant community of Southern Nevada. She enjoys traveling — Greece remains her favorite destination — and hopes to explore Japan and Switzerland next. Outside the office, you’ll likely find her at Pilates or spending time with her husband, son, and pups, Andy + Kodak.
In 2025, Kat and her husband welcomed their first child, further deepening her appreciation for the importance of family, legacy, and proactive planning. That perspective enhances the empathy and care she brings to every client relationship.
